The Level 4 Award In The Internal Quality Assurance Of Assessment Processes And Practice (IQA) is designed for qualified assessors looking to upskill and practice as an internal quality assurer.
This course will develop your skills to oversee and manage assessment processes and practice within teaching and training organisations.
Upon completion, this course allows you to undertake IQA activities and monitor assessment decisions within an organisation, raising quality standards and standardising practice. As a qualified IQA you will be able to sign off portfolios and practical activities for auditing and awarding body purposes.
This will allow you to undertake IQA activities and monitor the assessments carried out internally by others. You’ll learn different techniques and put your skills into practice, helping improve the standards of your company or organisation.
This qualification is intended for those who maintain quality of assessment from within an organisation or assessment centre.
Learners undertaking this qualification will be able to understand the principles and practices of internally assuring the quality of assessment and be able to internally assure the quality of assessment.

This is an hybrid course , You will have access to our course content via our online platform with interactive content, online assessment materials and unlimited tutor support via email, telephone or zoom /google meet.
You will also be invited to a remote weekly lesson via zoom.google meet, where you can gain support and guidance through interaction withnother learners.
The remote lesson lasts 1hr and is held weekly.
Most will complete this course in 3-6 months.However you will have 12 months to complete and submit all of the evidence.
How is this course assessed?
Unit 1 - This is a theoretical unit which covers the principles and practices of internally assuring the quality of assessment and has internally set and marked assignments.
Unit 2 - This unit requires you to submit a portfolio of evidence from your role in your workplace, which includes monitoring the quality assurance of two assessors, using at least 4 methods of sampling.
The main pieces of evidence for the portfolio should include the following:
Written assessments,
IQA sampling plan and reports,
Standardisation meeting,
Observation,
Personal statement.
